Still groggy and not feeling like getting out of the warm bed, I peer outside the gazebo, it was still dark and the hippos were grumbling so close by. I unzipped the tent and in the flashlight, round eyes spread apart stared back at me out of the darkness.

A tiny crocodile lies about the bare stone unconcerned about our presence. The clear pond of bubbling water is extremely busy with the little charges. We marvel at how this little one will someday develop into a massive sized crocodile. What a day!
