1 - Candy Canes - Simple and attractive as beading ideas go, you don't need much in the way of supplies to make these, and the designs are child-friendly to boot! Executing one pattern well is (or can be) a somewhat daunting task, but if you're feeling especially adventurous, you could try making each snowflake on your tree unique!
